About the Play
A play blending real stories and songs from the lives of womenfolk, with imaginings of their dreams, desires, and memories.
Rooted in the desire to preserve and honour the intimate spaces where women have always found each other — in kitchens, courtyards, and quiet corners of everyday life; where stories are told not as grand narratives, but through memory and as lived experiences — this play hopes to bring together stories and songs about the female experience. Layering these, the play hopes to evoke intergenerational experiences wherein women share parts of themselves and their lives which may otherwise lie hidden, and be reminiscent of moments we’ve all lived in our homes and communities.
This play is a work in progress, set to premiere in mid-2026.
